Our Story
Hi! My name is Rachel and I started Pure Joy House Cleaning in 2016. I started this company in Bozeman Montana and enjoyed it so much that I decided to continue it in Duluth where my family moved to in 2018. We have enjoyed lots of hiking in and around Duluth, canoeing, and getting lost in the Boundary Waters, and the wonderful beaches on lake Superior. I love to spread positive energy and being active. My business has grown over the years and now we have 5 wonderful employees. I try to work with people who are as passionate, detail-oriented, and as positive as I thrive to be. I look forward to meeting you and giving you a PureJoy clean sanctuary.

Rachel Bauman
Owner
My name is Rachel Bauman and I am the owner of Pure Joy House Cleaning. I started my company in Bozeman MT in 2016 after working as an employee cleaning residential and commercial properties and also doing housekeeping work. I enjoyed it so much that I built a new location in Duluth, MN where I moved with my husband in 2018. We loved Duluth so much for its nature, hiking trails, canoeing opportunities, and adventurous spirit along the north shore. However, as our family grew, we decided to embark on new adventures in the Twin Cities. After welcoming our second son, we moved to Saint Paul in 2023.
I feel so satisfied after cleaning every nook and cranny and giving everyone a beautiful clean sanctuary to come home to. I take pride in the level of detail, care, and positivity myself and my employees bring to every home.
I am very excited not only to continue to bring Pure Joy to my wonderful clients in Duluth but to also expand to Saint Paul and continue spreading the Pure Joy experience!

Newly married and transplanted to the Duluth area in October 2022 I have enjoyed getting to take in the sights and history of this city with my family. I have many passions and pursuits. Those closest to my heart tend to use more of my creative side. I love to draw, garden, sew, write, and sing.
After many years in a high-stress corporate setting, I find cleaning to be very rewarding and therapeutic. It engages me to be more active and proactive not just physically, but mentally both on the job and outside of it. There’s no greater feeling to me than knowing I have left a space more beautiful than when I found it.
